Darmmess is a first class Lebanese extra virgin olive oil and is officially and globally classified as a High Phenolic EVOO.
Characteristics of Darmmess: Green notes that are reminiscent of early harvested olives, enriched by a hint of cut grass, green tomato, fresh fruits (avocado) and evident balsamic note. Herbaceous background of bitter almond, artichoke, rocket and red chilli pepper.
Medium pungency, medium bitterness, medium green fuitiness, well balanced.
Polyphenols are organic compounds by-products of plants synthesis. The two most important ones are Oleocanthal and Oleacein. These can be detected in the Darmmess taste: they are behind the peppery effect on the back of the throat, and the bitterness on the tongue. `The European Union Health Claim Labelling Regulation 432-2012 states that olive oils with polyphenols of 250 mg/kg or more can claim: Olive oil polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress...The higher the concentration of phenolic compounds, the greater the potential health benefit`.
The concentrate being 294mg/kg, Darmmess is your natural strong antioxidant: A recommended daily intake of 2 tablespoons is an immunity booster.
